Yamaha SR500 cafe racer – by Johnny

This Yamaha SR500 cafe racer project comes from the mind of Jonny. A 1979 Yamaha SR500 single cylinder, with some bare metal bodywork, hand built leather cafe seat, and rear tail cowling.

Bike has been lowered in front and tightened up with rear shocks Hagon. Braided brake lines in stainless steel. Vintage cafe head light and tail light modified to fit modern bulbs.

Wiring trimmed of anything unnecessary except the bare minimum. Forward electric controls, including key switch, eliminated and relocated under the seat using standard rocker switches.

specs

Powder coated wheels wrapped in Firestone tires. Air filter K&N and a custom header with silencer Yoshimura.
