Brat Style Done Right Honda CB125 Cafe Racer
If you get a look at Bent Custom’s Honda CB125 Cafe Racer, you’d find it hard to believe that this was based off of Honda’s classic offering released in the late 70s.
What you have is the result of some very radical redesigning of a classic motorcycle and the inclusion of the Brat Style influence into one cool machine.
This is a great example of what brat style cafe racers should look like if given enough room for creativity!
To recreate this Cb125 Cafe racer, you need to completely strip off all of the parts and components on this bike to reveal the frame.
This is a very good frame to start with because it is very light and it can easily be reconfigured to accommodate a mono-shock assembly that should help you keep your lines straight when you’re done.
To achieve the Brat Style motif, minor alterations to the rear section should help you raise the rear and then place a very slim, banana type seat to get the essence of that Japanese look.
Painting the entire engine black helps set off the predominantly white color of the Honda CB125 cafe racer and the nice red and blue accents give it a very well thought out appearance.
This is a bike you’ll have to see in person to really appreciate.
Other modifications done to this Brat Style cafe racer include the handle bar mounted side mirrors and cleaning up the wiring assembly to give it a very minimalistic appearance.
Michale Mundy and his team at Steel Bent Customs continue to churn out brat style cafe racers but this Honda CB125 cafe racer project they have here is arguably one of the best they’ve produced so far!
